Training and Background

I have long experience in endurance and team sports medicine through my current role as the Assistant Medical Director of the London Marathon and previous roles as the Medical Director of the London and Blenheim Triathlons and Club Doctor for Harlequins Rugby Club.

I am co-organiser of Marathon Medicine, the largest and longest running conference on the medicine and science of endurance sports world-wide. I am an elected Council member of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, UK, and an elected Board member of the International Institute of Race Medicine.

My wife is an oncologist in SW London and we have three children who are at local schools. On a Sunday morning I help coach at the kids’ rugby club.
