Pathology services at Parkside Hospital
The Pathology Laboratory at Parkside Hospital provides a comprehensive service and offers a wide range of tests and investigations.
The Laboratory is routinely open from 08:30-20:00, Monday to Friday and is able to offer the following services either on site or through a range of specialist partners:
- Blood transfusions
- Clinical chemistry
- Endocrinology and immunology
- Haematology and coagulation
- Microbiology and serology
- Histopathology and cytology
The Pathology Laboratory is a UKAS accredited medical laboratory No. 8107. The laboratory is subject to strict regulation and monitoring – both internally and externally. It also participates in all relevant National Quality Assurance schemes. Consultant specialists oversee each of the above disciplines.
