Photodynamic Therapy Treatment

We have a new addition to our Photodynamic Therapy treatment clinic at Cancer Centre London with the upgrade of our Aktilite lamp to a larger one now covering a rectangular treatment area of 16 x 6cm.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a technique for treating skin cancers and sun-damaged skin, which could turn cancerous if left untreated. At Cancer Centre London, we are licensed to treat Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC), Bowens Disease and Solar Keratosis using Metvix, photosensitising cream, and with our background in Oncology and Radiation treatments we are very well placed in providing general skin care information (with an emphasis sun exposure safety) and support to patients.

We are continuing to strive to grow the service which we provide and proudly working closely with Galderma to achieve this.

If you would like to be referred for PDT treatment, please speak to one of our dermatologists.
