Celebrating Parkside Hospital – Care Quality Commission Inspection

Here at Parkside Hospital we are celebrating our result following an announced Care Quality Commission* (CQC) inspection in May 2016 and further unannounced inspection in June 2016.

The inspection team reviewed the core services of medicine, surgery and outpatients and diagnostic imaging services. We are delighted that they rated Parkside Hospital as ‘good’ stating that they saw several area of outstanding practice including our ‘one-stop clinic’ operated by the radiology department.

The CQC’s comprehensive inspection also included interviewing both staff and patients of which they reported ‘The service was rated very positively in patient feedback’ and ‘The patients we spoke to told us staff were very caring and respectful, and patients felt they were supported emotionally’. Furthermore, ‘staff were well supported with access to training, clinical supervision and development’ and aware of the hospital’s vision and incorporated this as part of their daily work.

We are delighted with this CQC Quality Report as it is an independent appraisal and honest review of the care we pride ourselves on delivering to our patients. We are proud of the hard work put in by our staff to provide this first class level of care and for the recognition by the CQC and our patients.
