Training and Background

Dr. Dorota Urbaniak studied medicine at both Medical University Warsaw and University College London Medical School, qualifying in 1993.

She initially specialized in Gynecology & Obstetrics before joining GP Training Scheme at Queen Mary’s University Hospital in London. The Scheme provided invaluable experience in General Medicine and Pediatrics, it also included one-year specialist training in Psychiatry at South West London & St. Georges Mental Health NHS Trust and Priory Hospital Roehampton. After completing her GP training Dr. Urbaniak became a partner at a large NHS practice in Esher.

She joined Parkside Hospital as a private GP in 2003 where in addition to providing General Practice services she developed particular expertise in Health Screening. She continued to have a special interest in Women’s Health, obtained a Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning & Reproductive Health, she is also a member of the British Menopause Society. She currently works as a senior GP at St. Albans Medical Centre in Kingston-upon-Thames.

With over 20 years’ experience as a GP both in NHS and private sector, Dr Urbaniak has gained an intimate knowledge of the local healthcare services. She aims to combine the highest standard of medical care with empathy, sensitivity and a friendly, non-judgemental approach.
