Clinical interests:

Her specialist interest is Vascular Interventional Radiology in which she is an internationally renowned expert with over 150 peer reviewed publications, numerous book chapters and invited lectures. Her research interests are in the endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, vascular malformations, uterine fibroids, massive haemorrhage from all causes but particularly obstetric haemorrhage, and renal artery denervation in the management of drug resistant hypertension.

Training & background:

Professor Anna-Maria Belli is an Interventional Radiologist who has been a Consultant at the Royal Hallamshire & Northern General Hospitals, Sheffield, the Hammersmith Hospital & Royal Postgraduate Medical School, London and since 1992 at St George’s Hospital & Medical School, London. She qualified in Medicine from the Middlesex Hospital, London.

Personal profile:

She was President of the British Society of Interventional Radiology from 2001-2003 and is the President of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe from September 2013-15. She has served on the Interventional Procedures Advisory Committee of NICE and on the Committee of Safety of Devices of the MHRA.
