Clinical interests:

All areas of shoulder and elbow including rotator cuff, dislocation, arthritis and ligaments. Arthroscopy of both joints, arthritis and joint replacement. Fractures and dislocations of both joints.

Training & background:

My undergraduate training was at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. Postgraduate training was on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital programme. I spent a year on an arthroscopy Fellowship in Virginia, USA with further shoulder training at Stanmore in complex shoulder and elbow surgery afterwards.

Personal profile:

I have always been a dedicated teacher and I hope that my patients obtain an a good understanding of what is happening to them. To train students and surgeons I lecture and publish regularly. I also have national education responsibilities. I have also published several new surgical techniques to improve outcomes.
