Clinical interests:

Back pain, leg pain, sciatica, arm pain, brachalgia, slipped discs, spinal tumours and spinal trauma. Interested in neurosurgery and spinal surgery as well as nonoperative treatment of spinal conditions. Also interested in vascular neurosurgery and head injuries. Mr Crocker has a full general neurosurgery practice with a specific expertise in spinal surgery. Most patients with spinal disease do not need surgery, however Mr Crocker works closely with non-surgical colleagues to help patients avoid surgery where it is not needed or preferred.

Training & background:

Undergraduate training at New College, Oxford University (1994-2000), Surgical training in London (2005-2012), Neurosurgical research as McKissock Lecturer, (2008-2010) received the Norman Dott Medal for most outstanding performance in FRCS (SN), (2011) Marjorie Newsome Fellow, Barrow Neurological Unit, Arizona, USA (2012).


Personal profile:

I am married with three children and live in Kingston. I have been a high level athlete and still compete in long distance triathlon. I have a large NHS practice as well as my own private practice. In the department of neurosurgery at St George's I am the clinical lead for neurotrauma, metastatic spinal cord compression and undergraduate teaching. I have been the clinical lead for neurosurgery for the regional unit at St George's Hospital since 2013.
