Clinical interests:

General gynaecology with expertise in menopause; including problem periods, abnormal bleeding, polycystic ovarian syndrome; premenstrual syndrome; fibroids, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fertility; menopause, HRT & management of prolapse.  Hysteroscopic surgery, Myosure and Novasure endometrial ablation, Mirena insertion.

Training & background:

Kate is a graduate in Medicine (1984) from the University of Cambridge and trained at St Thomas’s, qualifying as a doctor at the University of London (1987).

She was a fellow at University of Toronto (1993-1996) where she completed research for which she was awarded a Medical Doctorate by the University of London (2000).

Kate’s primary NHS consultant role was at Kingston NHS Trust (2001-2009). She is a member (1993) and a fellow (2008) of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Kate has an Honorary Contract at Guys and St Thomas’s where she works in a specialist menopause clinic.  She is certified as a Menopause Expert by the British Menopause Society (2017).

Kate was an accredited gynaecologist to the 2012 London Olympics and works as a specialist advisor to the English Institute of Sport.

Personal profile:

I'm married with 3 grown up children.  I rowed in the Boat race for Cambridge & The GB team, culminating in 1984 Olympics. I enjoy keeping fit and have taken up cycling. I also enjoy Yoga. I'm a regular theatre goer & support several London theatres and art galleries.
