Clinical interests:

My main clinical interests focus on minimally invasive approaches to all vascular disease and varicose veins, including endovenous treatments (radiofrequency, laser, clarivein and sclertherapy). I also have interests in popliteal entrapment and thoracic outlet syndromes.

Training & background:

I trained at Leicester where I followed an academic surgical career, gaining extensive; minimally invasive; endovascular experience. I established an outpatient based vein practice at St Georges Hospital where I have been a Consultant since 2005. I was appointed as Professor of Vascular Surgery, St Georges University of London, in 2014.

Personal profile:

I am Regional Director of Aneurysm Screening, Chair of the UK Vascular Society Quality Improvement Committee and Past-President of the British Society for Endovascular Therapy. I have been Clinical Tutor for Critical Care at the Royal College of Surgeons. I run a clinical research unit and have published over 200 papers and books relating to vascular and venous disease.
