Training and Background
Dr Sam Dumonteil is a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in breast imaging. He trained in medicine at St George’s Medical School in London, and then undertook specialist radiological training at St George’s University Hospital. He was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at St Georges Hospital in 2018. Dr Dumonteil is Deputy Director of Breast Screening for South West London where he works at the Rose Centre in both screening and symptomatic breast imaging. He is experienced in all breast interventional procedures including the use of large biopsy devices, with which he performs minimally invasive procedures with the intention of obviating surgery in selected cases. Academic interests include the mammographic quantification of breast density and its relationship to cancer risk.
