Fees, Training & Background:
Dr Ayaz qualified from St Georges University of London Medical School. She completed a BSc (Hons) in Human Physiology and Anatomy from Kings College London.
She undertook her postgraduate training at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust gaining a wealth of experience in a variety of medical specialities including Respiratory medicine, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine and Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Dr Ayaz is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and holds a diploma in family planning with a special interest in women’s health, cardiovascular medicine and medical education.
She is a member of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society and completed the Health Innovation CVD Prevention Fellowship and is working with the SW London Integrated care team to help design a healthy heart app as part of CVD prevention in the community.
Dr Ayaz is also a GP mentor and trainer and a GP appraiser. She is an undergraduate examiner and interview panellist for Imperial College and St George’s University of London medical schools.
Alongside her clinical and educational roles, Dr Ayaz is a board member of the Royal College of GPs South London Faculty and has been appointed a careers health ambassador for NHS England.
Dr Ayaz is also editor of the RCGP InnovAiT podcasts, a valuable educational resource for GP trainees and educators.
