Training & background:
Dr Rahman studied medicine at The Royal Free Hospital in London. He obtained his PhD from UCL studying the immunopathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease. He remains actively involved in clinical teaching and research at UCLH/UCL, regularly presents at national and international meetings, and has multiple high impact peer-reviewed publications.
As well as Dr Rahman’s clinical and teaching responsibilities, he is committed to furthering the field of gastroenterology through conducting extensive research into diseases such as Crohn’s disease (inflammation of the lining of the GI tract), which has lead to many high impact peer-reviewed publications in renowned scientific journals, such as the Lancet and Cell Biology.
This combination of education, research and clinical practice ensures Dr Rahman has the skills to provide the highest level of treatment and an excellent standard of care to his patients.
