Contacting patients
In order to protect our patients' confidentiality we can only give information on their condition to their next of kin, with their permission. If you wish to contact family or friends staying in Parkside Hospital, please telephone the hospital on 020 8971 8000 and you can be transferred directly to their room.
Visiting hours
Friends and relatives are welcome to visit at any time throughout the day, but we ask that after 9.30pm all visitors liaise with our nursing staff prior to visiting. You are welcome to join your friend or relative for meals or drinks in their room, any items will be charged for. We ask that all visitors report to the nurses’ station first, so that we can ensure visits do not disturb patient care.
There is free onsite parking in our car park located at the rear of the hospital building. Please arrange sufficient time for our car park supervisors to help you find a space. For directions to the hospital, please see 'Directions'.
Infection prevention
Before coming into hospital, please remember and abide by the following important infection prevention advice:
- Do not to visit if you have coughs, colds, diarrhoea, vomiting or any other illness or infection, as may create an additional risk for the patient
- Routinely wash your hands or clean them with the special alcohol gels available in patient bedrooms or on the ward corridors, as advised by the nurse in charge. Do this when you enter or leave a patient’s room or other areas of the hospital
- If you are concerned about the hand hygiene of doctors, nurses or anyone else who comes into contact with the patient you are visiting, you are encouraged to ask them whether they have cleaned their hands. Likewise if you see something that has been missed during cleaning, please report it to the nurse in charge
- If you have any questions or concerns regarding infection prevention please do not hesitate to ask a nurse.
