Rheumatology
Rheumatology is the branch of general medicine concerned with the development, diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect the joints, bones muscles and connective tissue.
We see people with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions from complex inflammatory disorders to degenerative joint disease and soft tissue disorders, caring for them from diagnosis through to treatment and rehabilitation.
We offer outpatient clinics with Consultant Rheumatologists, supported by our Radiology department for x-ray, ultrasound and MRI scanning. Your consultant also has access to other specialists within the hospital to work with and refer to as appropriate and our Physiotherapy team for any rehabilitative treatment.
