Dr Charlotte Rayner – Consultant Respiratory and General Physician
Dr Charlotte Rayner is a Consultant Physician specialising in the following areas:-
- General Medicine, including acute presentation with general medical conditions.
- Respiratory conditions.
- Assessment and rapid diagnosis of possible carcinoma.
Dr Rayner runs daily Rapid Access clinics and further assessment can be undertaken as a day case, inpatient or ongoing outpatient investigation.
Dr Rayner works within a multidisciplinary team, including Specialist Radiologist, Dr Sisa Grubnic and Dr Mary Roddie. She has developed further specialist interest in the management of patient with medical conditions with postoperative complications and also patients with acute medical problems in association cancer or cancer treatment.

Urgent Assessments:

Patients being seen have access to the following:-
- Urgent blood testing.
- Specialist radiology, including plain x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear Medicine, PET scanning.
If tissue sampling is required, this can occur on an urgent basis either through radiological investigation or through urgent referral for keyhole surgery.
Specialist physiotherapy services are provided for both general medical conditions and respiratory conditions and a dedicated Day Unit facility and Endoscopy facility is on site. In addition specialist pharmacy services are provided and multidisciplinary team working is given for all patients.
