Occupational Therapy
Parkside Hospital offers Occupational Therapy services for in-patients; Orthopaedic, Oncology and Medical. Intervention includes interview and assessment on the ward to establish if you need any help at home after your discharge. Assessments may involve areas such as domestic activities and selfcare where you may require help. Occupational Therapy recommendations may then include referral for equipment and/or community services to assist with your return home, therefore enabling a safe and supported discharge after your hospital stay. Other help may include information on other community services which may be of use to you.
