Hand Therapy
We offer a multidisciplinary (Occupational therapist and/ or Physiotherapist) hand therapy service.
We treat conditions such as:
- Osteoarthritis of the hands and wrists
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- De Quervain’s (“texter’s” thumb)
- Fractures of the hand and wrist
- Tendon injuries
- Nerve Injuries
- Repetitive Strain injuries.
- Post operative rehabilitation e.g. Dupuytren’s.
Treatments offered include:
- Functional assessment
- Splinting
- Oedema (swelling) management
- Manual therapy
- Scar management
- Exercise programmes
