Is parking available at Parkside Hospital?

Yes, parking is available free of charge at Parkside.  Please allow time for our car park supervisors to help you to find a space.

What are the visiting hours?

You can visit from 9.30 am to 10 pm each day, but please check in at the Nurse’s Station before entering a patient’s room. If you are visiting a patient in our High Dependency Unit, please do check with the nurse in charge of the Unit first. Your children are welcome to visit you.

Can I bring flowers?

Flowers are very welcome, but we do not allow them in our High Dependency Unit.

Can my partner stay the night with me and also have dinner?

This is at the discretion of the Ward Sister. There is a charge of £159.00 for a folding Z-bed, this includes breakfast. We do not charge for parents who are staying with their children (age 12 and under). Visitors can order meals from the daily menu, but these are chargeable.

We have negotiated a special rate for overnight stays at Warren House, Kingston (www.warrenhouse.com). Located 3.8 miles from Parkside Hospital, Bed & Breakfast is available at £130 per person for a double room and £110 for a single room. Please book directly with Warren House on 020 8547 1777 quoting 'Parkside'.

We have also negotiated a special rate for overnight stays at Cannizaro House, Wimbledon (www.cannizarohouse.com). Bed & full English Breakfast is available from £160 per room per night for a double or twin room. Large double or twin rooms are available from £195. Further benefits include: complimentary Wi-Fi, parking & a courtesy bus service, available from 7-10am to transfer guests directly to Parkside. Can I use my laptop?

Yes this is fine. WiFi is not yet available at Parkside but will be introduced shortly. Please let your nurse know that you wish to use the internet and she will arrange this for you.

Can I use my mobile phone?

Yes this is fine. All rooms have direct dial telephones for your use. Outgoing calls are chargeable.

Can my partner bring my dog in to see me?

No sorry, we only allow assistance dogs into the Hospital. 

How can my visitor/ partner telephone me?

To call an individual patient room, please dial 020 8971 8000 and the select option 1, followed by option 4, then follow the instructions. This then bypasses our main Hospital switchboard.

I am coming in for a day case, do I need to bring my nightclothes?

No, you will be provided with a Hospital gown for your time here. Please bring with you a pair of slippers and a dressing gown.
