Pilates for Bone Health

Parkside Physiotherapy department are now offering a new class.

Physiotherapy led weekly classes:

  • Pilates based exercises that incorporate bone strengthening techniques while also focusing on alignment and balance
  • Target strength in the hips, spine and wrists while giving the whole body a fantastic workout
  • Train your balance and posture reducing the risk of potentially damaging falls
  • Include an educational component to advise on how you can maintain and improve your bone health

 

All the exercises are appropriate for anyone who wants to maintain and improve their bone health and are safe and appropriate for those with a diagnosis of osteoporosis or osteopaenia.
