EMG Studies
Electromyography is the study of electrical activity within your muscles. Usually this is carried out by inserting a fine needle into the muscles. As the needle is very small, this is not usually too uncomfortable. The test usually takes around 30 minutes to carry out and the results are sent back to the doctor who has referred you for the test.
The test identifies nerve and muscle disease, epilepsy and general neurological conditions.
