About Us

It was in April 1960 that the Nippon Club was established, financed from membership fees and special donations from Japanese companies.

Nippon Club is a non-profit making organization, whose main aims are to promote friendship, social enjoyment and education amongst members, provide its members with medical clinics, allow its members access to a clubhouse in order to enjoy mental and physical recreation and to promote better international relations.

The club house and head office/administration centre is situated in the West End of London .

The elected Club’s Officers are senior managers of major Japanese companies that have work places in the and its Honorary President is His Excellency, The Ambassador of Japan.

Medical

The Club operates two clinics in London , one at St. Johns Wood, the other, our “South Clinic”, at Parkside Hospital . The South Clinic provides general practice medical care and specialist paediatric treatment.

In addition, the clinic can provide full X-ray, test, inoculation, consultant and in-patient facilities within Parkside Hospital . The Club also carries out many regular company medical check-ups.

The clinics’ doctors, nurses and administrator staff are all Japanese. The doctors are registered with the GMC and are specially selected and supplied via the Jikei University School of Medicine, a prominent establishment in Tokyo.

Our members are provided with a Japanese environment in which they receive medical treatment for themselves and their families and Nippon Club aims to provide patients with medical treatment similar to what they would receive in . As a result, our patients feel much more comfortable and cared for.

Nippon Club has business arrangements with most of the main health insurers and deals with many claims settlements on behalf of patients.
