Palanisamy Ramesh was appointed as a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in Foot and Ankle surgery at Kingston Hospital, Kingston upon Thames in August 2005.
Mr Ramesh underwent his higher surgical training in Orthopaedic surgery in the South East Thames region including Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospitals in London and completed a fellowship in Preston / Chorley hospitals. He was entered on to the Specialist register for Orthopaedic surgery in 2005.
He was awarded the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle society’s (AOFAS) international travelling fellow in 2007 and DePuy travelling fellow in 2006 .This allowed him to visit and train with a number of Foot & Ankle surgeons within North America including Columbus, Galveston, Houston, Minnesota, Toronto, Rochester, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington and Baltimore. Ramesh is involved in clinical research and academic development and has presented his research at Orthopaedic conferences both nationally and internationally. The last paper presentation was in American Academy of Orthopaedic surgeons in 2011.
Mr Ramesh is a member of British Orthopaedic association, BOFAS, AOFAS and IOA.
