Amit Amin’s base is St George’s Hospital, Tooting, where he is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery, as well as complex trauma and post-traumatic reconstruction.

He qualified from the University of Manchester in 1999 and completed his orthopaedic higher surgical training on the North East Thames Percivall Pott rotation.

He is fellowship trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, as well as spending one year at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. During his training, he was awarded the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society travelling fellowship, which he undertook with Dr Mark Myerson in Baltimore, USA. This was followed by a trauma fellowship which he undertook at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, USA. These interactions have developed international connections and friends across the globe.

His practice is dedicated solely to foot and ankle problems, which allows him to remain at the forefront of new advances and he offers specialist advice on all aspects including bunions, big toe arthritis, ankle arthritis, flat foot deformity, and complex problems, including second opinions. He has a specialist interest in ankle replacement, and is one of a select few surgeons who has been formally trained in this surgery.

Mr Amin holds a clinic on a Friday afternoon, but is available to see patients at short notice throughout the week.
