About
Dr Hayat qualified from Imperial College and completed his specialist training in London. He undertook an MD research degree into the use of advanced diagnostic techniques in upper GI disease. His research was presented nationally and internationally and received awards from the BSG, AGA and UEG. He has a specialist interests in patients with upper GI problems such as reflux disease and swallowing disorders. He runs the GI physiology lab at St George’s performing high resolution oesophageal manometry and ambulatory impedance-pH monitoring.
